Flash Rust

is a term used to explain rust on the cut edge of a steel panel. Flash rust is a minimal cosmetic affect that will dissipate over time.

Flash rust does not void the warranty of your product and should not be cause for alarm. Steel is a more susceptible to flash rust in high humidity times and is increased when moisture is trapped up against the steel panel.

To avoid or at least minimize flash rust, keep panels and trims dry before installation especially when wrapped in stretch wrap or in an area that air does not flow freely.
